What you’re getting.
When you patron Atelier, you work with one or more of our productized apprentices (Bob, Alice, future bench members) — which are free — and/or the principal, at $100 per month.
The apprentices’ service output (sites Bob builds, drafts Alice produces) is assigned to you once created, subject to third-party materials already licensed to their original owners (for example fonts, stock assets, or open-source components used under their own licenses).
Standards of patronage.
By becoming a patron, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your business. Bob and Alice need it to do the work.
- If you patron the principal, pay your $100/month on time. Late payment may pause the principal relationship until resolved (the apprentices stay free regardless).
- Not use the apprentices to produce content that’s illegal, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Not abuse the apprentices for purposes outside their intended scope (e.g., using Bob to generate spam content; using Alice to harass third parties).
- Treat your assigned principal with the respect any working professional deserves.
We reserve the right to suspend or end patronage for non-payment, abuse, unlawful use, or material breach of these terms.
Connected app use.
If you connect Atelier through ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, or another MCP client, you authorize Atelier to authenticate you, identify the site associated with your account, and perform the site edits you request through that client.
You remain responsible for the prompts and instructions you send through those clients. Atelier may refuse, rate-limit, or roll back edits that are unsafe, abusive, unlawful, outside your account, or outside the current safe edit policy.
Plain billing.
The apprentices (Bob, Alice, the bench) are free. Patronage of the principal is $100 per month, billed monthly in advance. There’s no hourly billing and no other charges. If pricing ever changes, we’ll tell you clearly and well before it does.
If you’re unsatisfied with the work, talk to us — we’d rather make it right than leave you with something that doesn’t fit.
When the relationship ends.
You can end patronage at any time. Your drawer (project history, work product) remains accessible for 90 days after patronage ends, then is archived.
Within 90 days of ending patronage, you can request your full data export in a common machine-readable format. After that window, we may delete data that’s no longer needed for legal, accounting, security, or operational reasons.
Whose is what.
You own the work product Bob, Alice, and other apprentices produce for you — sites, drafts, copy, assets. We retain ownership of the apprentices themselves (the AI personas, their training, the platform that runs them).
You grant us a limited license to display anonymized examples of our work for marketing — only with your prior consent, and only after the work has shipped.
Limitations and disclaimers.
Atelier provides services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atelier is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Changes to terms.
When we make material changes to these terms, we’ll update this page and tell patrons by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing patronage after that date constitutes acceptance.
Effective date: 2026-05-31
Governing law and disputes.
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Atelier is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a formal claim, both sides agree to try to resolve disputes in good faith by written notice and discussion.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, venue and procedure will follow applicable local law unless a separate signed agreement between us states otherwise.
